School Riding Team Success

In early April we were delighted to hear of our students May Mooney (Year 10), Amy Poulton (Year 9) and Saskia Flood (Year 8) compete for the school in Dressage. May won, Saskia came 4th and Amy came 5th. Unfortunately it was only 1st - 4th Place that qualified, so Amy, despite riding a fabulous test, narrowly missed out on a place at the Championships, however, May and Saskia will now be going to the National Championships representing the school in October this year.

May also won the 80cm Combined Training, and Saskia won the 70cm Combined Training so they will also go on to represent the school in Combined Training (Dressage and Show jumping) at the National Championships which are held at the end of October at Addington. Congratulations to all three students involved!

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. Adopted industry models like the Double Diamond Design Process and Scrum-based project sprints to enhance student learning. Established workshops with industry professionals to inspire students, especially girls, to pursue design careers. Key Takeaways for Educators Adapt curriculum to student needs and school culture. Pilot new initiatives as clubs first to gauge student interest. Encourage student feedback to refine teaching methods. Be open to change and continuously evolve teaching strategies.
