Charities thank school for over £10000 raised during Charities' Week!

On Monday 2nd March 2020 representatives from Michael Sobell House, Harrow MS Society, Herts Inclusive Theatre and Watford New Hope Trust attended assembly to receive equal cheques from a total amount of £10,095. This amount was raised during our annual Charities Week, which was held in December 2019. Charities' Prefects arranged a number of fun filled activities for our students resulting in this fantastic sum being raised for these four very worthy charities.The speakers expressed their gratitude to the students and school community for supporting their charities through their fundraising activities. 

Well done to all out Charities Prefects for organising the event, and thank you to all our students and families who supported these fundraising events to help others. Your support is much appreciated.

Teachers commended for transforming Design & Technology education

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. Adopted industry models like the Double Diamond Design Process and Scrum-based project sprints to enhance student learning. Established workshops with industry professionals to inspire students, especially girls, to pursue design careers. Key Takeaways for Educators Adapt curriculum to student needs and school culture. Pilot new initiatives as clubs first to gauge student interest. Encourage student feedback to refine teaching methods. Be open to change and continuously evolve teaching strategies.
